Swirling bamboo fan
Cooling the warm summer heat 
As the tradewinds rest 
 
 Sliver in the sky
 Surrounded by sparkling stars
 July crescent moon
        Orange amber flames
Crackling wood near crashing waves
Summer beach bonfire
 
Sturdy sunflowers
Following a solar trail
Stare at fleeting clouds 
 
Fragrance from heaven
Plumeria scented breeze
Engulfs my senses
         Flower to flower
 Small hovering butterflies
 Enjoy sweet nectar
 
A final journey 
Brings his spirit and his soul 
To a place of peace
 
Quiet stealth heron
Lurking at the water's edge
Captures small minnows
 
Attracted by moonlight
Instinctive turtle hatchlings 
Scramble to the seaPrecious living reef
Surrounding island shores
Snorklers paradise
 
 The splendor of dusk 
 As the warm summer days fade
 Awakens the moon 
 
 Breathless sunrise
 Floating from the eastern edge
 Warms the morning chill 
 
Full moon inspired
Reflecting on the ocean
Beyond distant shores
       Brightly shining star
Guiding faithful followers
A time to rejoice
